ATC Fulia , Nadia in its Folk Rice Conservation Centre ( Bio Diversity Conservation Farm, Govt of West Bengal, India ) has transplanted 320 folk rice varieties with floating azolla in 2015. Fifteen days old seedlings were transplanted by following  SSP ( Single Seedling Planting)  method. Transplanting started during  the first week of July and continued up to first week of August. 20 days after transplanting  azolla was sprinkled over the field having 1-2 inch of water. Azolla covers the entire field in 7 days time, it suppressed  the growth of the associated plants  and provided N and organic matter. Except azolla no organic matter was added and it gives profuse growth, tillering, grain and straw yield. Some of the pictures are --
